Although insurance companies are currently evaluating whether to routinely use home testing as a viable option for sleep apnea assessment, the WPAT device and all other home testing products are NOT covered by insurance.
A sleep study with an accredited laboratory costs $2000-3500. Even with quality insurance, most people are responsible for a deductible of 20%, or about $400 - $700. In contrast, the Take-Home Test costs $150. While it is typically not covered by insurance, this fee is often less than most people pay for the deductible of an in-laboratory sleep study.
In the event that you need a formal in-laboratory sleep study, the cost of your Take-Home Test will be credited to your account so that you won’t be billed twice to assess your sleep.
The fee for the Take-Home Test is billed when you pick it up at our office.
